This page explains how Flash Forward Foundation collects, uses, and protects information from visitors to our website, flashforwardfoundation.org.
Updated on July 1, 2026
At Flash Forward Foundation, we take your privacy seriously. Please read this Privacy Policy to learn how we handle your personal information. By using or accessing our website in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices described below.
Your use of the Flash Forward Foundation website is also subject to our Terms of Service, which incorporates this Privacy Policy by reference.
Information We Collect
We collect information you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and message when you fill out a form to volunteer, ask for help, donate equipment, or contact us. If you make a donation, our donation platform, GoFundMe, collects your payment and billing information directly — we do not receive or store your card details.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your message, process volunteer applications, coordinate equipment donations, keep you updated about our programs, and operate, protect, and improve our website and mission. We do not sell your personal information.
How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with service providers who help us operate our website and programs (such as our form-processing and donation partners), when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Flash Forward Foundation or others, or in connection with a merger, reorganization, or transfer of some or all of our assets. We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal and tax obligations as a nonprofit organization, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Forms & Third-Party Processors
Contact and volunteer forms on our website are processed by FormSubmit, a third-party service that securely delivers form submissions to our team’s inbox. Donations are processed by GoFundMe. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data in transit.
Analytics & Cookies
We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics and similar services, to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited and general location. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
International Users
Flash Forward Foundation is based in the United States, and any information you provide will be processed and stored in the United States. If you access our website from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond, our website does not currently respond differently based on a Do Not Track signal.
Children’s Privacy
Flash Forward Foundation was founded by students, and many of our volunteers are students themselves. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental involvement. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Data Security
We seek to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures. However, no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we have about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, to the extent required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data privacy laws; contact us and we will respond as required by law.
Limitation of Liability
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Flash Forward Foundation is not liable for any unauthorized access to or use of your information, or for the privacy or security practices of any third-party service we use or link to, except as required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our website and programs grow. Any changes are effective as soon as we post the updated Policy on this page, and your continued use of our website after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
